PROJECT GOAL: Re-design of client’s flagship online informatics product plus informatics dashboard

MY ROLL: Responsible for the research & design for the entire project

PROCESS: Implemented a full scale user centred design process including user interiews, usability testing & design

HIGHLIGHTS: Client was subsequently acquired for over $40m with the new & redesigned products being a major factor

Step 1. Research & discovery

  • Undertook a series of deep dive customer interviews as well as interviews with customer facing team members.
  • Also met with key business stakeholders
  • Explored loss report plus a range of different usage analytics
  • Undertook a customer survey to gain additional insights plus clarity on some of the opportunites that surfaced during customer interviews
  • Spent time with customers exploring their perspectives in relation to competitor products

Step 2. Customer validation & feedback

  • Two waves of usability testing and feedback
  • Evaluated both ease of use and customer satisfaction
  • Refined and tested designs until customer feeback was positive across the board
